A Harriott lighter comes in to load up on salt bags at the White House dock.  The crew would load up the boat till the gunwhales were almost in the water and head out to deep water to load the bags onto an anchored freighter.  This restored, Fred Pollard slide was taken in 1948 and is part of the Harriott Collection.  It prints up to 8x10 inches.
